Gaborone airport fees: what you pay at GBE

Every passenger leaving Gaborone pays two Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana charges, collected by the airline in the ticket. The passenger service charge is P170 for international departures and P100 for domestic ones. A passenger security charge of P92 applies to every departing passenger. CAAB published these amounts in its scheme of aeronautical charges, in force from 1 April 2026 with the same rates as the November 2024 scheme. A planned US$30 tourism levy was withdrawn in 2017.
