Djibouti airport fees: what you pay at JIB

Passengers leaving Djibouti pay a passenger charge set by ministerial order: FDJ 5,000 (about US$28) to neighbouring countries, FDJ 12,000 (about US$68) to the rest of Africa and the Gulf states, and FDJ 15,000 (about US$84) to all other countries. An order signed on 17 September 2026 kept these rates and added an infrastructure development charge of FDJ 2,000 per passenger. Djibouti International Airport bills the airline, so the charge sits in the ticket. Direct transit passengers and children under two are exempt.
